This much needed fund was created in 2003 to cover the cost of emergency and necessary veterinary care for stray, abused or abandoned animals. Monies are received from dog owners who are asked to donate an additional $1.00 with their annual dog license renewals. 100% of the donated monies are utilized for the veterinary services provided to stray, abused or abandoned animals.
June 15, 2015 – The Beaver County Humane Society is please to announce that we are one of 29 recipients of grant funding through Lil BUB’s BIG Fund for the ASPCA. This $2,500 grant will be used to expand the means for the Beaver County Humane Society to provide emergency and necessary veterinary care for stray, abused, or abandoned animals by establishing the Savings Lives Fund for Specialized Veterinary Care. This new fund will be an adjunct to our current TLC Fund which covers costs of emergency veterinary care we can provide with te resources on hand at the shleter. Some services can be performed onsite and would be covered by the TLC Fund. But there are times when we need to access specialized, outside medical care in order to save the life of an adoptable animal.
