Beaver County Humane Education Program

The mission of the Beaver County Humane Education Program is to:

  • Introduce the Beaver County Humane Society as a community agency responsible for the safety and well-being of all domestic animals in Beaver County 
  • To educate children and adults on the responsibilities necessary to ensure the welfare of animals

By educating the people of Beaver County about the BCHS, we hope to promote concepts of kindness, responsibility and respect towards all living creatures.  We hope to encourage community involvement in the BCHS.  

We offer programs tailored for specific groups such as:

  • Scout Groups
  • Civic Groups
  • Community Groups
  • Schools
  • Senior Groups
  • Church Groups

We offer programs which can cover a variety of opics:

  • Pet Care
  • Safety Around Animals
  • PA Dog Laws
  • Animal Cruelty
  • Animal-Related Careers
  • Spaying & Neuering
  • Role of the BCHS in the Comunity

The following donations are requested for the BCHS Education Programs:

  • $35 for programs held at the BCHS Education Room though no more then 25 attendees
  • $50 for programs held off-site with no more than 30 attendees
    • Special requests will be considered

Programs held at the shelter include a tour of the shelter.  We usually have animals visit. Please let us know if anyone attending has serious allergies or is extreamly afraid of animals
