2016 Photo Contest WINNERS!

It’s finally time—after four months of spirited competition, we are excited to announce the results of the 2016 Pixel Pets Online Pet Photo Contest. This year's Pet Photo Contest was a tremendous success. We received 110 submissions online and raised $11,898!

The 12 pet photos that received the highest vote count at the contest's conclusion win a featured spot on of the monthly calendar pages in the 2017 “Celebrating Pets As Family” calendar.

This year’s top prize went to “Tommy” submitted by Dori.

Tucker,” owned by Shirley Hites, finished second.

Capturing third place was “Gina”, submitted by Elie Zajac.

Of course, the real winners are the shelter animals in our care. The BCHS provides quality care and forever homes for thousands of homeless and abandoned pets annually through animal sheltering and adoptions, veterinary care, low cost rabies clinics, humane investigations, educational programs and much more. The Beaver County Humane Society is not affiliated with any national humane or animal welfare organizations and is supported by public donations and fundraisers like this pet photo calendar contest.

We are pleased to announce the top 12 winners as follows:

• First Place: “Tommy” submitted by Dori

• Second Place: “Tucker” submitted by Shirley Hites.

Thanks to everyone for participating in this year's contest and making it a tremendous success! Calendars will be on sale at the shelter, online and at featured BCHS events this fall.
